Caption Contest Winners!

The entries have finally been judged, the winners have been chosen -- and let me tell you, it wasn't easy for Saint Paul from Fraters Libertas. He wound up having to check in with John Fogerty, who finally gave him the approval sign on his slate of winning entries:

And I Only Know Three Chords!

Here are the John Fogey Fogerty-endorsed winners:

Captain's Award (Manly Men Doing Manly Things) -- Kimmber:

It's been 5 minutes since I've hugged a caucasian male with great hair. Come here little fella........."

You Have The Conn #1 (Can't Find Good Help) -- King:

When is the butler going to come get this thing off me?"

You Have The Conn #2 (First Things First) -- CCWBass:

". . . and I figured, the hell the terrorists! I'm not going to let them keep me from rockin' on, and so I ditched the briefing and grabbed my guitar, and here I am!"

You Have The Conn #3 (Keanu Reeves Career Award) -- Kris:

Kerry: "Be excellent to each other."

Report To Sick Bay (To Air [Guitar] Divine) -- Scotty:

"...and, as a demonstration of how committed I am to the gay / lesbian / transgender / bisexual vote, I am going to let this guy, who I don't know, fondle my junk!"

Next Gurney Over (Judge's Entry) -- Paul Saint:

For my next trick, I will perform the drum solo from Wipeout using only my groin and the back of this guitar.

A big thank you to my Northern Alliance friend and colleague Saint Paul from Fraters Libertas! Don't forget that even though the in-line skate rally is over, you can still contribute to the Fraters Libertas fundraising effort for MS. (Kimmber, drop Saint Paul an e-mail to make arrangements for the bumber sticker he's offered to the winner.)

Thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to the winners! Remember, here at CQ, everyone's a winner -- just some of us have higher winning percentages than others. Comments on this post will remain open, as usual, in order for the winners to gloat, the others to disparage Saint's intellect and/or my parentage, and for any other entries submitted just for the sheer enjoyment of amazing your friends and confounding your enemies.

Send me a photograph or an e-mail with a link to a great picture you think should be the subject of our next Caption Contest, and let me know if you'd like to be the guest judge! I'll have another picture for Friday -- so be sure to come back then for the next contest.
