Ensign Calls For Return Of MoveOn Money
NRSC chair Senator John Ensign calls for Democrats to return all campaign funds donated by MoveOn, after their despicable New York Times ad today accusing David Petraeus of treason. "If Senate Democrats are serious about moving our country forward, they will denounce this outrageous ad and return the campaign funds MoveOn.org has lavished on them as well as the donations made through MoveOn.org -- the choice is theirs." Ensign's right, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the refund ...
Support The Al-Dura Petition
Roger Simon at Pajamas Media is circulating a petition to demand accountability for the discredited al-Dura report from France's Channel 2. This is, as Roger calls it, the "Father of all Fauxtography," and C-2 has never acknowledged its fault in airing the supposed murder of a Palestinian child. He wants C-2 to show all of the unedited footage of the incident in order to show that C-2 faked the murder. If they're resisting the demand, I'd say they have something to hide ....
There Goes The Undefeated Season
Notre Dame managed to get its first loss out of the way as soon as possible -- and as badly as possible. Georgia Tech came to South Bend and stomped the Irish, 33-3, in the worst home opener loss in school history. The offense fumbled twice and allowed seven sacks on Evan Sharpley, who must have longed to have Brady Quinn back on the field instead. If Charlie Weis doesn't turn this debacle around fast, he may want to start asking Ty Willingham for some career counseling ....
Would Early Primaries Allow More Donations?
Jim Geraghty at The Campaign Spot believes that candidates will benefit if primaries and caucuses get pushed into 2007. A loophole in campaign finance regulation appears to allow an extra $2,300 per donor for candidates if those elections are held this year. Be sure to check out Jim's analysis, and the surprising candidate that may benefit the most.
When Tom Met Jeralyn
One of the interesting aspects of politics is finding out that opponents are people, too. Jeralyn Merritt of TalkLeft met Rep. Tom Tancredo backstage at NBC's studios, and found him more likable than she had anticipated. Perhaps it was their mutual interest in Dog, The Bounty Hunter ...
Joe Lieberman A Right-Wing Nut?
That's what CAIR says, according to Joe Kaufman. He has a link to a CAIR official's blog post that calls Lieberman, along with John Bolton, former CIA director James Woolsey, and the Heritage Foundation's Peter Brookes as "extremists". Affad Shaikh also calls Dick Cheney a "fat bastard of a liar," apparently not meant as a pop-culture reference to the Austin Powers movies. (via Let Freedom Ring)
Broadband Homelessness
The Japanese have made homelessness more efficient, and more Net-friendly, too. Their Internet cafés have become homeless shelters for the struggling manual-labor sector. The problem has grown into such a problem that government intervention will shortly become a political priority.
Found My Law Firm
Power Line links twice to this story regarding an attorney at Faegre & Benson who refused to become a victim and helped capture a very dangerous man. Keith Radtke is a partner in the firm as is Power Line's John Hinderaker. Radtke is listed in satisfactory condition after getting shot in the back, but that didn't keep him from locking up his attacker in a wrestling grip until police could arrive. I don't know about you, but that's the kind of man I'd want as my counsel ....
Don't Click That YouTube E-mail
The latest in spam seems to be redirections from YouTube links in e-mail to IP addresses without domain names. They attempt to entice people by making it seem that they have been inadvertently YouTubed. I'm sure most people can see through this scam, but just in case, you've been warned ....
Rick Moran Escapes The Floods
Rick Moran has kept us up to date on his travails along the Algonquin River. Yesterday, the police showed up to get him evacuated before the river flooded his home -- but today, Rick finds that a minor miracle has taken place, and that his house survives ... at least for now. Keep Rick in your prayers, and keep checking in at Right Wing Nut House for updates.
Rule 1: Drag The Corpse On Over First
If I've learned anything in four years of blogging, don't try to be out in front of the death rumors, especially with the villains of the world. Saddam died a hundred deaths before we caught him alive in his spider hole, and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi almost as many before his demise last year. Osama may or may not be alive, but everyone's avoided speculating on his fate for a while now. Maybe Val at Babalu Blog will get luckier with his "Castro Is Dead" story. We all hope so. I'll wait for the announcement ....
Hobbs Choice
Volunteer Voters is holding its annual "Best of Nashville" on-line polls, and one of the categories is for the best political writer. Our friend Bill Hobbs, now posting at Newsbusters, and he'd like his on-line fans to cast their votes. Drop by and put one in for Bill if you get a chance!
Murtha Getting Backlogged On Apologies
Gary Gross of Let Freedom Ring sees another case collapsing on the Haditha charges. He's called for Murtha to apologize earlier, and adds another reason to the tally.
No Such Thing As 'Moderate' Islam?
Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan told a television interviewer that he finds the label "moderate Islam" offensive. Shrink Wrapped has a lot more on this, but at least in the same interview Erdogan acknowledged that "radical Islam" exists, and that it's been a catastrophe. Be sure to read the whole post.
MS-NBC Gets Punk'd
Power Line has a great post on a lack of journalistic effort on the part of MS-NBC. In covering the Michael Vick story, they reported on what they thought was Al Sharpton's website proclaiming Vick's innocence. I guess Alex Johnson and two other MS-NBC reporters couldn't bother to read the title bar of the site, which proudly proclaims it as a "parody site".

Ed, bin Laden doesn't exist. He was made up by a consortium of Halliburton, Aramco, and the Carlyle Group to crerate a 'terror master' to take the blame for an increasing tempo of attacks on the United States finally culminating in the 9/11 attacks. These attacks finally tipped the American people into agreeing to an invasion of Iraq (second largest reserves in the world) so that its oil could be secured. Saudi is running out and Halliburton and Aramco feared that business failure and bankruptcy would get them, so another supply to be held by several cut-outs were needed. To this end the 'terror master' was created (actually played by three out of work actors) and a series of attacks (engineered by Blackwater) were set in motion - First WTC, Khobar Towers, USS Cole, African embassies, etc.
In addition, GWB was put forward as their puppet president (to be closely watched by papa Bush and Cheney of Haliburton) to be on watch when the culminating attack was launched. To this end the 2000 election was stolen, the 9/11 operation was launched, and the USA has been used to support this shadowy cabal of oil companies in their quest to dominate the globe.
Osama is just a puppet, or rather, a made-for-video character to provide the masses with an easy villian to blame for the chaos and evil that surrounds us and provide cover for the machinations of the Bush crime family and their cohorts in Saudi Arabia and the oil industry.
(BTW, all of that was a joke - I made that up because that, Ed, is what the moonbats will say. They have their 9/11 truth and you will never convince them otherwise.)

...if you get blown to bits without your permission or knowledge of your fate, then trust us to see you to your 72 virgins.
That the "god" of a religion, practiced by a culture that totally subjugates women, defines the eternal reward in terms of satisfying male carnal fantasies tells me all I need to know about this religion's origins.
The liberation of muslim women from the shackles of this abominable cult will culminate with its downfall. It is inevitable and underway.

Truthers dread these videos because they conflict with the democrat party line that 9-11 was an inside job.
It's despicable that Howard Dean gave truthers the democrat party seal of approval by stating that he found their theories "interesting" and not insane. Earlier this year John Edwards, when confronted by a ranting truther at a press conference, invited the gentleman to give his information to Edwards' assistant so Edwards could "look into it."
If you vote democrat, you're either nuts or you just don't give a crap about America.

Bullwinkle has the latest video of UBL ?
.. so this leaves us with ..

Waleed al-Shehri was a bit more than just muscle: he was the trusted money conduit that Said Bahaji funded that portion of the 9/11 plot through. He and his brother, Wail al-Shehri were recruited, if memory serves, by Ahmed al-Nami who served as the recruiter for most of the muscle for 9/11. Waleed was a trusted friend and was the one who not only got the money, but remitted funds back to Bahaji just before the attacks.
So, yes, muscle, but also a trusted individual for distributing and recalling finances for that part of the cell. I doubt that it was a recruitment call, given that.

My question centers on the need for a second tape altogether just like the Captain. Is this an act of desperation because his first tape bombed? Could be that mistakes are being made that could snag him finally.

I say nuke 'em all. I wish the government would quit pussy footin' around with these ragheads.
Bomb them back to stone age. and if Pakistan and Afghanistan won't play hardball, bomb them too.
Worked in World War II.
Kill 'em all and let Allah and his 72 virgins sort 'em out!

I wonder if this is an original second video, or more from the first video?
Not that it makes any difference, unless you're waiting for the second half of the poem.....

White House: Osama Bin Laden is impotent
Note: He is still alive!
Bush is impotent but a dying politician
Posted by Mikey NTH | September 10, 2007 12:01 PM
Biro, see if you can spot the difference.
George W. Bush: works from the Oval Office at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, D.C.
Osama bin Laden: works from the Caliph Cave at no known address.

Bob:
I wonder how many people get the reference. The
"go code" was actually a poem by Paul Verlane

Captain do you believe these videos?
Why?
How come you don't see the obvious, which the videos prove? OBL is DEAD.
Got that, DEAD.
If you are going to be as stupid as the MSM, why should I bother with your blog?
Posted by LarryD | September 10, 2007 1:03 PM
The first tape has about 22 minutes of frozen video, during with all the topical references were made.
(Very) old tape with a dubbed over soundtrack?
It does nothing to establish that ObL is still breathing.
And who knows what agenda the CIA analysts are pursuing?
Posted by DirtCrashr | September 10, 2007 1:09 PM
The vid's a fake. It freezes at 1:58 and then returns to motion at 12:30, then freezes again at 14:02 remains frozen til the end. All references to current events happen when the video is frozen - the audio could be a Gadhan MP3 mashup.

Jerry,
I hope more folks "get it" than not.
The poem was one of many "keys" to the resistance. The "moustache" reference is taken from "The Longest Day" and "Red Dawn".

That old standby "He's dead, Jim," needs to be replaced, now. Osama became wall-hangings in Tora Bora. So, the tapes you see are somewhat old. To fit in "new information," so the press buggers stand back and get fooled; the tapes FREEZE. While the dialog continues.
Meanwhile, I was over at Ha'Aretz, where I bet many of you don't go. Even though that leftist paper is published in Israel. Still, if you want to talk current events in the Mideast; it's not all that bad a place to go.
As, I said, Osama's been spritzed onto a cave wall. He is now "living art," in the form of a painting.
Though, for the living, the current status of Assad is up (at Ha'aretz) for review. Take a peek. (Oh, I can guarantee the russians aren't known for doing refunds on the military crap they sell to the arabs. Or others.) Oh, the lessons you could learn. CAROL HERMAN
Syria fumes as Arab world stays silent
By Yoav Stern
There is a joke in Damascus about a bus that carries passengers to distant parts of the country. In every town where the bus stops, the driver announces its name and opens the door to let passengers on or off. Between two villages, he stops and cries out: "Secret missile base." At that point, two soldiers disembark.
Public opinion in Syria, and in the Arab world in general, is demanding detailed explanations. It is hard to gauge Syrian public opinion from a distance, but the Internet exposes some of what Syrian citizens are feeling. "For 60 years, we have heard the slogan that a war will not be imposed on us at a time and place that is not suitable for us," an Arab Internet surfer wrote last week, echoing analysts' statements. On the web site of the official daily Al-Thawra, another wrote: "Would not the best timing and the most appropriate response be to shoot down one of the attacking aircraft?" Meanwhile, official Damascus is slowly preparing for a diplomatic offensive. Senior Syrian officials are counting their friends. The official Syrian news agency SANA is collating every condemnation: political parties from Yemen, individuals from Lebanon, the Arab League, some lukewarm statements from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey. Yesterday, Libya joined in, with a Foreign Ministry source calling for a unified Arab stance - which seems to be more distant than ever. There is considerable frustration in Damascus that key Arab countries have not bothered to denounce Israel and express their support for Syria.
The editor-in-chief of the daily Tishrin, Isam Dari, reflected this frustration. In an editorial on Saturday, he wrote that what is disheartening is not what the enemy is doing, but the response of Syria's Arab brothers. "They remain silent in face of Israeli piracy, as if this had happened on Mars or Jupiter," he said.
The fact that countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf states and the Maghreb states have not expressed their support for Syria reflects its isolation in the Arab world. These countries, often termed "moderate," have major differences with Syria - not only about Lebanon, but also about its strategic decisions, particularly its alliance with Iran, which they consider a threat to the Arab world in general.
Nonetheless, all the states in the region, including Israel, are still waiting for a clear Syrian response. Will it make do with a passive reaction through diplomatic channels, or will it opt for something else? Past experience suggests that Syria will avoid direct confrontation with Israel at any price. The border between the two has been Israel's calmest ever since the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Syria's advantage lies elsewhere: In recent years, it has put together a long list of dubious allies that serve as subcontractors for its military operations. Thus one possibility is that Syria's response to the Israeli challenge will take a different form and come from in a different place.

When the late Ann Landers received letters she believed to be contrived (fake but accurate) she blamed the local college boys from Yale. I wonder if even Islamic young men don't like to play around with something that others take too seriously and lose their perspective on and come up with fake but accurate tapes such as this one. How they must enjoy the chaos they create! JMO

I wish all these damn bleeding heart, turn coat RATS would just get off the ship (and leave AMERICA), since they are so sure its going down (under the omnipotent, all powerful, all seeing eye of conspiracy. if we are all so controlled, then we havent a chance). remember that movie, 'Independence Day'?!?! the 'truthers' remind me EXACTLY of those hippie clowns (the tree huggin', UFO conspiracy truthers LMAO!!!)on top of that building in San Francisco, welcoming the aliens. yeah, i bet they think all the militant islama-fascists will 'come in peace' too.
