Does anyone know how I could watch or listen to that debate with Hitchens? Sounds like it would be fun.

Dinesh D'Souza is the new generation of a long line of defenders. Much of the ground covered in this podcast was mapped by C. S. Lewis in Mere Christianity and Miracles. For the contribution to Western Civilization, there is Rodney Stark's Triumph of Reason. If you need to answer the anti-theists, Lewis and Chesterton are good places to begin. In particular, Lewis can name Medievals who explored such ideas as existance outside of time.

Lewis's The Pilgrim's Regress is also a superb book for the debate, even though Lewis himself wrote a second forward criticizing the book rather sharply. The Problem of Pain also has good material.

Great book and great defense of Christianity. But when are the so called Christians in politics today going to act like real Christians?
