The Christmas Ad That Topped Them All

CapQ readers want to have an eggnog with him, and now we know why. Fred Thompson just released the best Christmas ad in this cycle, one in which no one will find floating crosses, holiday fruitcake, downer lighting, and especially tone-deaf "gifts" of expanded entitlements under the Christmas tree. Instead, Thompson reminds us that we have other Americans than Presidential candidates to keep in our thoughts on this holiday:

Thompson knows how to hit the right buttons, and do it with class. Of course, I don't want to brag, but he may have looked at my Christmas greeting from last year:

I'll have a new greeting for Christmas morning, but Fred reminded me that most of this is pretty evergreen.
